STA Alum Jacob Paul Shares What Being a Knight Means to Him

This week our teachers and staff have come together for in-service, to prepare for a fantastic school year and to talk about what it means to be part of the Knight family. St. Thomas Aquinas alum, Jacob Paul (2016), was invited by Fr. Dyer to speak with our staff about what being a Knight meant to him. Jacob graduated this spring from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and recently took the MCAT exam. He shared that from the very first day he transferred to STA he was “amazed at how friendly everyone was, students, teachers, administrators, and coaches, and that there was a true feeling of family.”

As a student, he could tell that “the faculty cared for him as a person, taking the time to truly talk to students and get to know them.” As an athlete, he appreciated how “everyone in the community knew and supported every student-athlete and followed their athletic successes, no matter what sport they played.” Most importantly he said, that for his family, “it was important that they be in a place where God is a priority, that faith be at the center of everything, and that emphasizes that God comes first.” What a strong testament for an Aquinas education!
