SCCS December Difference Makers

Congratulations to this month's Stark County Catholic Schools Difference Makers!

Central Catholic High School: Theresa Gursky, Office Manager
Theresa Gursky is an alumna of Central Catholic and she has been on the administrative and alumni staff for decades. She is a true Crusader at heart. For the last several years she has served the teachers and staff at CCHS as our office manager. She anticipates our needs, often before we realize we have them. Given her years of connection to Central, she is also a wealth of information about Crusader traditions and processes. She is instrumental in the behind-the-scenes work necessary to maintain Central Catholic’s Tradition of Excellence.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Middle School: Criseyda Dowd, Director of the Arts
Criseyda Dowd has been working at St. Thomas Aquinas for several years and was appointed the Director of the Arts for Stark County Catholic Schools two years ago. As the director, she is charged with enhancing our ever-increasing art program offerings, creating additional art partnerships in the community, and writing grants to fulfill the wish list of our Program for the Arts staff. In the ever-evolving world of COVID-19, she has successfully directed our plays and music performances, managing both live and streaming performances. As the director, she has also been committed to attending plays and musicals at the elementary Catholic schools in order to show their programs her full support.

St. Barbara Catholic School: Robyn Harris, Preschool Aide
Robyn Harris is a preschool aide for St. Barbara Catholic School. Ms. Harris is always willing to go above and beyond to help make our school a great place. She is very professional and brings a lot of great ideas into the classroom. She has worked at St. Barbara for several years and continues to demonstrate her commitment to the St. Barbara Bobcats.
